Robert and his wife, Janet, with their daughters Sarah and Lydia.

Robert is a native of Ada, Oklahoma, with family roots in that community dating back to the late 1870. His parents were both teachers in Ada and instilled in him at a young age the importance of education. Robert graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration. He was 4-year member of the University’s marching band, The Pride of Oklahoma, and is still an avid Sooner football fan.

Robert continued his education at the Oklahoma City University School of Law where he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity. Since graduating law school, Robert has been a trial attorney practicing in such diverse fields as automobile negligence, premises liability, nursing home negligence, products liability, and oil field pollution. Robert has taken many cases to trial in Oklahoma and Tulsa counties, and in rural Oklahoma, throughout his career.

Robert is a member of the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners. In that capacity, he is involved in decisions concerning the preparation and administration of the Bar Exam, and the character and fitness of applicants from Oklahoma and other states to practice law in Oklahoma. He also participates in the Oklahoma County Bar Association’s Lawyers for Learning program and the County Bar’s Law Related Education program, both of which help lawyers play a role in educating the children of Oklahoma.

Robert met his wife, Janet, at the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Oklahoma City where they are both active members to this day. On what was the happiest day of his life, Robert married Janet in 2001. They are the proud parents of two beautiful girls, Sarah and Lydia.

“And having thus chosen our course, without guile, and with pure purpose, let us renew our trust in God, and go forward without fear, and with manly hearts.”

Abraham Lincoln
