Marc graduated from the original John Marshall High School. After marrying Cindi, his high school sweetheart, he obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Central State University. Marc then attended night law school at Oklahoma City University. While in law school, he worked during the day at the Oklahoma County Courthouse as a Deputy Court Clerk for Judge Byron E. McFall and later for Arthur Lori Rakestraw. Later Marc served as Bailiff for Judge Robert D. Epperson. Before graduating from law school, he accepted a position with the City of Oklahoma City’s Municipal Counselor’s office. While working there as a Legal Intern with a limited license to practice law, Marc prepared and prosecuted jury trials in Oklahoma City Municipal Court of Record. Marc graduated OCU Law School in December 1980.

Marc’s legal career has been devoted to handling all aspects of the preparation and trial to a jury of civil cases in both State and Federal Court. Before joining Miller & Johnson he spent 18 years as a staff trial attorney at State Farm Insurance Company. Marc serves on the OBA’s Civil Procedure/Evidence Committee and volunteers with the Oklahoma County Bar Association’s Lawyers for Learning reading program which assists teachers in Oklahoma City Elementary Schools with reading activities for grade school children who have reading/comprehension difficulties. Marc has obtained an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell.

Marc and Cindi have been married 42 years. Cindi is a High School teacher with the Oklahoma City Public Schools. Their daughter, Elizabeth, is married to Cory and they are the parents of Marc and Cindi’s wonderful grandson, Nolan. Marc and Cindi’s son, Zachary, is an attorney in Oklahoma City and is married to Katy. As yet, there are no additional grandchildren to report. In his spare time Marc enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, sailing, hiking and in particular, any activities proximate to a certain cabin near Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
