Lyman was born in Norman, Oklahoma where he lived in the same neighborhood for eighteen years. After graduating from Norman North High School, he headed to Stillwater, where he earned his B.S. in Business Administration (Economics) from Oklahoma State University. After four years in Stillwater, he returned home to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Law.

An avid outdoorsman, Lyman rarely misses an opportunity to get outside. He enjoys playing and watching nearly any sport, and especially loves his Oklahoma City Thunder. Lyman’s passion is Oklahoma, and he aims to interact with as many of the State’s communities as possible.

During his time at the OU College of Law, Lyman was a Member and Director of the Board of Advocates. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Inspired by Others, a non-profit organization which helps establish named scholarships in honor or in memory of inspirational people in its donors’ lives.

Lyman has spent his entire legal career at Miller & Johnson, having started as a law clerk after his first year of law school. He values the mentorship and mentality Miller & Johnson embraces. He is licensed to practice in all State and Federal courts in Oklahoma.

“The Law is reason, free from passion.”
