John Curtis III grew up in Oklahoma City and is a proud Putnam City Pirate. After graduating high school, he earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. He and his wife, Kelsie, then moved to Norman for law school. In their spare time, John and Kelsie love to watch movies, travel, and spend time with their friends and family.

John graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2016. During law school, John gained professional experience through various internships. His first summer he participated in the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps J.D. program through Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma. He had an externship during his third semester with the Honorable Suzanne Mitchell in the Western District of Oklahoma. He also had internships at small and large law firms in Oklahoma City, where he developed foundational litigation skills.
